THE EURO
Although the UK is not one of those countries that have joined the single European currency, the Euro is used in commercial transactions in all European countries, the UK included. All fees for European patent applciations and community trade mark applications are paid in Euro.
As a European patent attorney offering my services world-wide, I am happy to accept payment in either UK Pounds or in Euro for any work that I undertake for clients in any country.
In the interest of certainty, I offer two independent tariffs in either currency. This ensures that neither fee structure is affected by short-term variations in the exchange rate between the Pound and the Euro. Unlike some UK-based businessed, I do not employ a biased conversion rate for business conducted in Euro.
For all European patent, design and trade mark applications, I offer all new and existing clients in the United Kingdom who pay by direct bank transfer in Euro a discount of at least 4% as compared with a direct conversion from a Sterling invoice into Euro.
If you wish to be billed in Euro for any work that I undertake, all you need do is let me know at any time in advance of the work being invoiced.
